Current Position

Jared Van Snellenberg, Ph.D. currently is an Assistant Professor in Psychiatry at Stony Brook Medicine.

Research

Dr. Van Snellenberg’s research focuses on understanding the neural underpinnings of psychotic and cognitive symptoms of schizophrenia and related disorders, using multimodal neuroimaging methods to measure brain activity and neurochemistry. Towards this goal, Dr. Van Snellenberg also focuses heavily on the development and testing of data analytic and statistical methods for functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI) and meta-analysis.
