Our Team
Dr. Harry Mushlin, a fellowship-trained expert in complex spine and deformity diseases in adults, leads our team of exceptional neurosurgeons, physiatrists and physician assistants who work together to create patient-guided treatment plans. Our adult spine and pediatric spine specialists can address all your needs.
Adult Spine Surgery
Our center has long had a reputation for expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of complex spine disease. This includes deformity and scoliosis, spinal stenosis, degenerative disease, tumors, trauma and revision surgery. Minimally invasive techniques are often preferred, as they typically reduce pain, complications and infection risk.
We provide fellowship-trained level of expertise that is not available anywhere else on Long Island. What this means for our patients is that now even people with complex conditions such as scoliosis, spinal stenosis, degenerative disease, tumors, trauma or revision surgery, can be candidates for surgery and have a better quality of life.
Pediatric Neurosurgery
We’re also the only practice in Suffolk County with two full-time pediatric neurosurgeons. For infants, children and young adults with neurological disorders of the spine, our pediatric neurosurgeons will work with you and your child's pediatrician to help determine the most appropriate care for your child.
Physiatry
Sometimes, it may be determined that a non-surgical treatment plan would be the best course of action for your condition. When that’s the case, our board-certified physiatrists (also known as physical medicine and rehabilitation physicians) will work with you on a non-surgical treatment plan. Your non-surgical treatment plan may include physical therapy, an exercise regimen or fluoroscopically guided steroid injections.
Conditions Treated
Whether your needs are complex or routine, we'll work with you to determine the best possible treatment path for your unique condition.
Some of the conditions we treat include:
- Cervical degenerative disease
- Kyphosis

- Lumbar disk herniation
- Scoliosis
- Spinal stenosis
- Spinal tumors
